So, Solstace and I have sealed your fate decided on a "work plan"- in other words, our update schedule, project guidelines, etc. In short: - Once monthly, on the last Friday of the month, we'll put out Kunin Zasshi (I'm open to better names), the "Kunin Magazine"- basically, an e-zine showcasing all of our current projects.
- The issue will be uploaded as a compilation (probably in a RAR file) to a communal deviantArt profile, as well as any other sites that you can think of that would support it. The link to the profile, guidelines, and the group password will be posted in Work Discussion.
Issue specifics: - Each issue should have four to five pages of each project everyone is currently participating in as far as Kunin business is concerned.
- The cover page (which will also be used as the preview picture on deviantArt) will be drawn by a different artist for each issue, either on a rotation or volunteer schedule. Keep in mind that the cover will be edited by me in Photoshop to look more like a professional 'zine (with hints at the contents and such), so keep this in mind when creating a page layout.
- Active participants should attempt to have their month's work for Kunin Zasshi ready the day before the deadline to email to me so I can compile it; be sure to get everything proofread and edited before then.
And remember, have fun! These rules are just here so we can work efficiently and smoothly as a team. ;D (I hope I didn't forget anything...)

Blackmoon, if you ever need someone else to Photoshop the cover, I'll do it. Just for reference.

Oh yes! And, our first issue will not go out this month, but rather, the last Friday of November. So no worries! This oughta give us plenty of time to get our shit together.

I also could Photoshop the cover, if it's just adding content blurbs and stuff.

@mr. Cales: Well, you writefolk can write up the stories, of course. You can also add in, say, authors' notes or thoughts on the current issue, as long as they're not too long- two paragraphs at most. You're also welcome to write newsposts on the deviantArt journal, too.

Ugh, what? I was expecting something a lot more informal, you know? Just a bunch of people contributing stuff and drawing/writing things for each other, passing things around and picking things up at our leisure. Not something like an actual magazine thing. I'm incredibly busy doing my webcomic, writing for me and my partner's webcomic, and something we're working on to get published by an actual comic publisher. Plus my involvement in the Multi-Artist Exchange. If it's a commitment thing, I don't think I'll be able to manage that.

Uwaa... really? D: Well, if you must... but I'd still like to have you available to at least do guest art from time to time. Is that a possibility?

Well, if it's not going to work for you, aod, then you could be a recurring guest artist/writer!

Yeah, sure, I can do guest art and stuff if you really want, but yeah, don't figure me for contributing any pages of anything in the quantity of more than one or two a month. My goal, you see, is to ramp production back up on my webcomic of a page each day. Meanwhile, I work as a writer for ATXS every day as well. I can write, though. If you need a writer, call and I'll write, 'cause writing doesn't take any time for me whatsoever.

I must admit, I too had expected something more informal--but I'm really excited about this idea, so it works out.
& we could just call the magazine "Kunin Circle".
So what other content would be in the magazine? The basics: I'm assuming we'd have an introduction each issue (written by Blackmoon for the first, and then maybe by a different person in every subsequent one), and a "table of contents"--either or both of which would have blurbs about each story. Is there anything else we would want? Articles, drabbles, "About the Kunin", etc.?

I figured it was gonna be just story.

I thought it was going to be just manga. But I think it would be cool to give a little page before each story that gives a bit of background info for the characters and explains what's been happening so far. We could recycle the artwork, so it would just be the writing that would be new. I could probably format everything, in case that's an issue.
